Job Description:
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Risk Manager for Existing Account Strategies and manage a dynamic, innovative team that is responsible for account management strategies within the MBNA and CUETS Credit Card TD Bank Financial Group. The team is responsible for creating and managing various account management strategies including but not limited to Authorizations, Credit Line Management and the Risk BT/Access Cheque eligibility strategies. Through leading edge analytics and strategy development the team provides best in class credit risk strategies, analysis of policies and monitoring portfolio risk trends for all MBNA and CUETS Credit Cards to solve a wide array of business problems including how to maintain portfolio level loss rates within target.
Responsibilities:
1) Managing the efforts of a team of five senior risk strategy analysts responsible for:
- Developing, validating and implementing various automated credit line increase, over the credit line authorizations, request routing (queuing), marketing lead selection, risk segmentation strategies and policies using complex data including cohort time series analysis of PCL, Marketing Investments, Decision Expense, Risk Adjusted Revenue, Risk Adjusted Margin, NPV, ROE, etc.
- Creating regular monthly reports on the results of implemented strategies
- Performing risk analysis on account management strategies and policies, evaluate vintage risk trends
2) Provide analytical support to Senior Management
3) Demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
4) Work effectively in a cross functional environment with Governance, Audit, Marketing, Credit Operations etc
5) Provide direction and recommendations to Senior Management as it relates to converting the suite of account management strategies from the current systems to TSYS
Job Requirements:
Education/Accreditations:
- Post secondary degree in Statistics/Applied Mathematics/MBA/Business/Finance/Economics is preferred. Post graduate degree would be an asset.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in Risk Management and business analytics, ideally within financial services.
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Experience managing and developing a team of direct reports
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including a strong competency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Experience with the use of SQL and SAS
- Working knowledge of SAS Enterprise Miner, FICO Model Builder or Angoss Knowledge Seeker.
- Experience in data modeling and risk management either from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific, or financial background.
- Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions.
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations to senior management.
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and results-oriented
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively to complete multiple projects or assignments
