The Charlotte Bobcats announced Friday that they had extended qualifying offers to point guard D.J. Augustin and forward Derrick Brown.
Financial terms were not disclosed. According to Hoopshype.com, Augustin's qualifying offer would be for $4.385 million, while Brown's would be for $3 million.
Both players are now restricted free agents, and the Bobcats can match contract offers made by other teams.
Augustin, 24, was limited to 48 games (46 starts) last season because of injuries. He averaged 11.1 points and a career-high 6.4 assists in 29.3 minutes per game. Brown, 24, played in 65 games and posted career-best averages of 8.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 22.2 minutes.
