Have you ever been interested in a trip but were always scared that a pre-existing medical condition would or could keep you from traveling? What is a Pre-Existing medical condition?

At Travel Insured International, the standard definition of a pre-existing medical condition is described as any injury, sickness or condition of yourself, a traveling companion or yourself and/or your traveling companion?s family member for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment was recommended or received in the previous 180 days of purchasing your travel insurance plan.

What?s next if I am concerned with pre-existing medical conditions?

If a traveler is concerned with pre-existing medical conditions, we provide 4 different options of insurance policies which offer you this type of protection. In order to receive coverage for pre-existing medical conditions you must follow these guidelines:

  1. The insurance policy must be purchased within 30, 21, or 14 calendar days from the first deposit towards your trip, depending on which policy you are looking to invest in.
  2. The full, non-refundable cost of the trip must be insured.
  3. All travelers must be medically well enough to travel the date that the policy is purchased.
  4. It must be the first and only booking for the trip.

Next time you think a pre-existing medical condition is keeping you from traveling, look no further than the coverage we provide here at Travel Insured International. Always remember, we are just a phone call or click away.
